The Ellis Building

The Ellis Building has existed in many forms throughout its nearly 110 years of existence. Originally a rooming house for railroad workers, it later transitioned into a furniture store before spending the last 60 years doing custom metal work for everyone that calls Strathcona home. Today the building is a community staple that is home to over a dozen artist studios alongside our private speakeasy, The Library. We are very proud to have brought this beautiful little piece of Vancouver back to life. The building has been expertly renovated to carefully preserve its priceless character features and with its exposed wood and brick the property is like no other in the city.
